John Cleese and his psychotherapist.

On: Wednesday, April 23, 2008

How much does a psychotherapist charge per hour? I don't know, but for the last 15 years John Cleese has paid room and board for a live-in psychotherapist. Now that the relationship is being terminated the psychotherapist has asked (via a claim from lawyers) to keep the comedian's homes in New York and London as well as half his income going back to 1992 and annual maintenance of almost $2 million.

John Cleese has recently been was said to be upset that the claim depicts him living an opulent lifestyle flying by private jet and employing his own chefs. He believes his lifestyle is comfortable but not opulent and he has very rarely flown by private jet.

I guess that what John Cleese gets for marrying a psychotherapist. I reckon saying "room and board" is a little vague but it should count for something in his proceedings!

"The 68-year-old comedian and actor was last night in Santa Barbara, California where the couple own Stalloreggi, a 16-acre equestrian ranch. They bought the ranch in 1999 and it is home to a menagerie of animals including horses, llamas and alpacas."

Irony!
